As Principal and Founder of SH International, Sara Haq is at the helm of every engagement. She has extensive on-the-ground business and finance experience across Latin America, Asia, Africa, and Europe. She is a sharp negotiator and takes pride in being both business savvy and street smart. She speaks French, Spanish, Arabic, Turkish, Hindi/Urdu, and native English.
Sara previously worked for the International Finance Corporation, part of the World Bank Group. She studied Organizational Leadership at Georgetown University, and Finance and Business at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where she now serves as Entrepreneur in Residence. She is also Chair of the International Forum of the Wharton Club of DC.
She was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, and now lives in Washington, DC.
She has worked on-the-ground in: Barbados, Brazil, Guatemala, India, Jamaica, the Maldives, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama, Poland, Russia, Saint Lucia, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, & Uzbekistan. She has worked from her desk on projects in many other countries
She has had study abroad experiences in: Argentina, Russia, South Africa, and Tunisia. She has also traveled to: Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, France, Georgia, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Mexico, Spain, Syria, & Uruguay.
